How Our Residential Intensive Driving Courses Work
A structured route to becoming a safer, more confident driver
Powered by Safer Driver Training UK Group, our residential intensive driving courses have been developed by the same team behind My Intensive Course, bringing our experience in intensive driver training into a dedicated residential programme.
We have recently launched our residential intensive driving courses under the "Drive In Five" banner to offer learners a structured, supportive and focused route towards driving test standard — combining professional instruction, confidence-building and a team effort to help you achieve your goal.
We believe intensive driving should be about more than simply fitting as many lessons as possible into a short space of time. Our tried-and-tested approach focuses on developing safe driving habits, building confidence behind the wheel and progressing your skills in a structured way, with the aim of preparing you for independent driving and your practical test.
A tried-and-tested approach, built around you
Every learner starts at a different level. That is why our approach focuses on identifying your strengths, working on areas that need improvement and building your skills progressively throughout your course.
Your training is designed to help you develop:
-
Safe driving skills: Building good habits, sound judgement and an understanding of what it takes to drive safely and responsibly.
-
Confidence behind the wheel: Gradually developing your independence, decision-making and ability to handle different road and traffic conditions.
-
Consistent progress: Following a structured training programme that helps you build on what you learn each day.
-
A team effort: Working together with your instructor and our support team towards a shared goal — getting you to the required standard for your practical driving test.
We focus on helping you become a capable, confident driver, not simply on getting you through a test.
Stay with us and focus on your driving
Not local to the area? That is exactly where our residential course can make a difference.
You can stay with us for the duration of your course, allowing you to concentrate on your training without the added pressure of travelling long distances to and from lessons every day.
By spending the week in one location, you can settle into your training routine, focus on your progress and make the most of your intensive learning experience.
A residential course is particularly suited to learners who want to step away from their usual routine and dedicate their time to achieving their driving goals.
Train in an area we know inside out
One of the key advantages of training with us is our local knowledge.
Our courses operate in an area we know exceptionally well, giving your training the benefit of familiarity with the local roads, traffic conditions and a wide variety of driving environments. This helps us build a training programme that develops your ability to drive confidently in different situations, rather than relying on experience of just a handful of familiar routes.
We also have access to four local driving test centres, providing a wider local test-centre network when arranging practical tests. This can offer greater flexibility when looking for suitable test availability, although specific test dates remain subject to availability.
Getting to know the area during your training can also help you feel more comfortable and prepared when the time comes to take your practical test.
Your goal is our goal
We understand that learning to drive intensively can feel like a big commitment. That is why our approach combines structured instruction, ongoing progress and a supportive team working towards one clear objective: helping you reach the standard required to drive independently and take your practical test with confidence.
With the experience behind My Intensive Course and the backing of Safer Driver Training UK Group, our residential programme brings together focused training, local knowledge and a supportive learning environment.
Your week. Your focus. Your journey towards driving independence.

Who Should Book Our Residential Intensive Driving Courses
Drive in Five is designed for partly trained and comited learners who want to immerse themselves in a dedicated residential driving experience and work towards their pre-booked, Friday practical test in just five days.
Rather than spreading lessons over weeks or months, you'll spend five consecutive days concentrating on your driving, following a structured intensive training syllabus delivered by your DVSA / Govenment approved course driving instructor.
Each morning begins with a classroom briefing, giving you the opportunity to cover important driving topics, understand the day's objectives and prepare for the training ahead. You'll then put that learning into practice behind the wheel, building consistency, confidence and the skills needed to become a safe, independent driver.
And the best part? Your pre-booked practical driving test takes place in the final hour of your five-day programme!
This course are ideally suited to learners with:
-
18 plus hours of recent driving experience for manual.
-
12 plus hours of recent driving experience for automatic.
Why Should You Book Our Residential Intensive Driving Courses
Because intensive driver training is what we know!
Drive in Five has been created by the people behind the My Intensive Course Network, one of the UK's established names in intensive driving course provision.
Our foundations come from a team who were among the early pioneers of the shift towards intensive driver training in the UK, helping move the industry beyond the traditional once-a-week lesson model and towards more focused, concentrated learning experiences.
We understand that learning to drive isn't just about accumulating hours behind the wheel. It's about developing skills, building consistency, correcting weaknesses and gaining the confidence to drive independently.
That's why we've brought our experience into a dedicated five-day residential programme.
From structured morning classroom briefings to focused practical training and a pre-booked driving test in the final hour, every part of Drive in Five is designed around one objective: getting you ready for the road ahead.
You're not simply booking five days of driving lessons. You're joining a training experience built on years of understanding what intensive driver training is all about.
WE HELPED SHAPE THE INTENSIVE TRAINING MOVEMENT. NOW WE'RE BRINGING IT TO FIVE DAYS.
